This show managed to collect some of the best and most unique Magritte paintings into one light-filled gallery on the Upper East Side. On entering I almost fell to me knees seeing Elementary Cosmogony. I had seen it once in LA in 2006 and wasn't expecting to see it here. It was even more amazing than I remembered and much larger. There was also an exquisite little collage in the back that Baldassari must have seen early on. A rare gem of a show.
